War Words

While dreaming I came across two soldiers

Blood soaked and breathless in their bodies

Entwined on a battleground cheek to cheek

One had fought nearly naked

One in bold regalia

One is yours, one is mine

Both ours

A pair of a careless species

Whose leaders are dealers

Peddling words in stories

Ripping reason right from our brain

Words to turn our heart to hate

Words to throw our life to fate

Words to accommodate

Words to offer us as on a plate

Upon a pyramid altar
